Hope & Glorious Hen Party
<3 Jen
My wee sister is getting married in less than two weeks! Last weekend we celebrated her hen do. It was quite simply amazing! The day was organised by Hope and Glorious Vintage and they could not have done a better job!
Here I am post makeover - total transformation. Enjoying the delicious afternoon tea.
They provided a really fun prop box so we could all play dress up
Each hen had an individual makeover - make up and hair
Gorgeous Linda playing with the props!
Kirsty chilling with a glass of Fizz post makeover - the wide grin says it all! Everyone was made to feel so special :)
Champagne and strawberries on arrival and
each hen got a little package with a vintage brooch and mirror
Mother of the bride really enjoyed the day! I didn't even get pics of the crafts and games provided - we each made a fascinator and played fun games.
The wonderful ladies from Hairaid Shelter hard at work - they are so talented
My gorgeous mama after her makeover
Jen in the styling area. Venue was the picture house
Finishing touches ready for the big reveal!
Yowzer what a babe!
Jen enjoying her photo shoot with the very lovely photographer Lara Blake
Hair and make up had true staying power - this was hours later after dinner at Clarice House!
During the day we also had a wonderful afternoon tea served on vintage crockery. This post is already rather photo heavy so I might save the food for another write up ;)
A very special day I will never forget!

Since spraining my ankle (sob) I've spent a lot of time on pinterest ... oh dear... however I have found some amazing summer dresses

I've been trying to make my own dress patterns in the last few weeks and these dresses have really inspired me to make a similar pattern with a fitted vest and loose midi length skirt.
My pinterest board with more beauties like these can be found here

Delicious breakfast - French Toast Crumpets
This weekend whilst staying with friends in Brighton I had the most delicious breakfast. Apparently it is a family favourite so I thought I would share the recipe here!
Ingredients:
2 crumpets per person
1 egg per person
splash of milk
pinch cinnamon
dried chilli flakes
maple syrup
*optional smoked bacon (not for me I'm vegetarian!)*
Just like making eggy bread whisk up the eggs, milk with a pinch of dried chilli flakes and cinnamon. Soak the crumpets in the chilli egg mixture and then cook them for a few minutes on each side til golden. Serve with cooked smoked bacon or as is with a little drizzle of maple syrup.
Sooo good I want to eat them everyday!
